The way Gumleaf™ works is ingeniously simple. It comprises BHP top-grade Colourbond® steel mesh, which is cut to size, fitted, and screwed over your existing guttering. The mesh is incredibly tough – so tough you could walk on it and in fact, it can withstand weight pressure of up to 600kg per metre.
The fixture of Gumleaf™ to your roof’s guttering entails lavish lashings of high tech adhesive sealant. Using super-strong sealant is crucial to prevent deterioration of the attachment between roof and mesh – potentially allowing debris to enter your gutter. This would defeat the purpose of applying gutter guard in the first place! So to achieve the long-lasting, effective result that substantiates the Gumleaf™ Gutter Guard name for quality, we promote Holdfast NZ Ltd Gorilla MS-based adhesive sealant.
Gorilla is non-toxic, transparent, unaffected by moisture, weather, or UV impact. It’s also free of solvents, isocyanates, halogens, and acids, so is ideal for rain harvesting situations. To combat New Zealand’s variations in climate, Gorilla can endure temperatures of -50C to +150C.
